Sometimes Taos will run across the house and back, yelling, ‘I can’t control my speed!’ He’s just so very super fast! This summer he’s leaned how to hold his breath underwater. Going to the pool has become an art of flailing. Daddy or Mommy hovers next to him, arms wide, while he gulps down some air and submerges, flailing his arms and legs everywhere. He looks like he’s drowning. If we try to help him out of the water, he splutters, and demands, “Don’t help me!” Then he takes another big gulp of air and goes back under. It’s really stressful for the parents, but he’s having a great time.
